Segway Navimow i110 vs H800-VF — Entry vs Step-Up
Segway sells two consumer Navimow lines in the US — the i-series and the H-series. Both are wire-free RTK platforms, both target medium-sized yards, and both share the brand's app and base-station architecture. The i110 is the entry model in the lineup; the H800-VF is the step-up with VisionFence boundary detection. This guide compares them on raw specs.

Where the i110 wins
Price
The i110 sits a clear price tier below the H800-VF. The i110 is the cheapest wire-free RTK mower in our spec database. For sub-1,000 sqm flat yards where the H800's extra slope handling and weather sealing aren't useful, the savings go straight to the bottom line.
Lighter chassis
9.3 kg versus 17 kg. The i110 is roughly half the weight of the H800. For owners who lift the unit for storage, transport, or seasonal stowage, the i110 is materially easier to handle. The H800's heavier chassis is part of why it manages 45% slope — weight on the drive wheels improves traction — but it's also why it's harder to move.
Slightly larger coverage area
1,000 sqm versus 800 sqm. For yards in the 800–1,000 sqm range the i110 just fits where the H800 would be at its rated maximum. In the bracket where coverage is the binding constraint and slope is mild, the i110 has the edge.
Where the H800-VF wins
Slope handling
45% versus 30% is a 15-percentage-point gap. Yards with hillside sections, embankments, or terraces past the i110's rated maximum need the H800. Real-world conditions (wet grass, soft soil) typically subtract 5–10 percentage points from the rated figure, which means the i110 is reliable up to about 20–25% real slope while the H800 handles 35–40%.
VisionFence boundary detection
The H-series adds VisionFence — Segway's camera-based boundary refinement layer that supplements RTK for tighter edge work. It's particularly useful for yards with garden bed edges, paths, and irregular boundaries where RTK alone might cut a metre wide of where you'd want.
Quieter
54 dB versus 58 dB is a perceptible difference. The H800 is among the quietest mowers in our spec database (joint with the H1500 and H3000). For HOA-restricted properties or yards near bedrooms, the H800's noise rating is a real advantage.
IP66 weather rating
IP66 (dust-tight + heavy water spray) versus IPX6 (water spray only). The H800 is the higher-rated unit for outdoor weather exposure — relevant for yards in dustier climates or with frequent rain. IP66 also means the H800 can sit out in storms without ingress concerns where the i110 might benefit from being docked.
Longer runtime per charge
The H800's 180-minute runtime per charge from a 5.1 Ah pack is published; the i110's runtime is not on Segway's spec sheet. For any property where the unit needs to handle the full coverage area in a single cycle, the H800 is the safer pick.
Decision matrix
| If your yard is... | Pick | Why |
|---|---|---|
| Under 1,000 sqm, flat (under 25%) | i110 | Cheaper; specs sufficient |
| Under 800 sqm, moderate slope (25–40%) | H800-VF | i110 capped at 30% slope |
| HOA-restricted or close-neighbour | H800-VF | 54 dB vs 58 dB is materially quieter |
| Rainy / dusty climate | H800-VF | IP66 vs IPX6 weather sealing |
| Need to move the unit frequently | i110 | 9.3 kg vs 17 kg — half the weight |
| Need irregular boundary detection | H800-VF | VisionFence handles tight edges better |
What about the bigger H-series mowers?
If the H800's coverage is too small, Segway sells the H1500-VF (1,500 sqm) and H3000-VF (3,000 sqm) using the same VisionFence platform. All H-series mowers carry the same 45% slope rating, 54 dB noise rating, and IP66 weather rating. The differences across the H-line are battery size (and therefore runtime and coverage), not navigation method or build quality.
